Listen. This is important. I believe in you. I really do. Why don’t you?
You’re home is on stage. Your life is full of love and laughter. You’re thoughts are kind and caring. You make people happy!
And yet, you don’t look me in the eye. You downplay all of your abilities. When you receive the recognition you deserve, you deny it, you pass it on to someone else, you say there must have been a mistake.
When I tell you that you have the ability to create a lasting impact on the people around, that you can change your own personal world, you refuse to believe me. When I say that speaking up for yourself would allow you to lead an amazing life, you remain behind your curtain.
I don’t view myself as better than you. How could I? There are so many things you can do that I can’t. The only reason I say it, is because I lived it. I was there once and it was difficult. At the time, I didn’t know how to handle it either. But others helped me believe in myself, and I can tell you it’s so much better where I am now. Now, I want to help you. I did it, because I loved you. I do it still, because I care for you.
Wherever you go, I will believe in you. Just know that. I will be there for you.
