How many amazing things do we miss each and every day? Has that street corner always been occupied by the amazing drummer that shouts “I made some money” at the gift of a dollar bill? Has this office always been filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee? These are just a few of the many remarkable things we all miss each and every day.

I’m here to tell you that the way most of us view observation is completely incorrect. You heard me. You’ve been doing it wrong all these years.

It has been said many times that we live in a hustle and bustle world. Always rushing from one thing to the next. And many people feel that we should give ourselves more time to slow down and look around us. I would agree with this statement, but, in terms of observation, this isn’t the most important part.

The One Practice That Will Change How You See Life

The key to observation is this: It’s not about how you observe, it’s about what you look for. This may sound quite simple, and it is, but it so powerful. A simple change in your observation habits will change your life.

Imagine you’re walking down the street. You’re in a good mood. You have a mindset to observe the good things going on around it. Luckily, for you, we usually find what we’re looking for. So instead of noticing the angry faces on the street, you see a group of happy, smiling people. You notice more opportunities. Life and the things associated with it become a joy.

Search for the Good in Life

Life truly is like a canvas. We are all given a wide range of opportunities in the way we live our lives, the way we see our lives, and the way we see our world. We can all look for the good or bad in life. It is up to us to choose. And our decision will affect the way we see the world. If you want to think people are happy and creative, you have to look for those people.

Our experiences in life mirror what we’re looking for. If you’re unhappy with your experiences, change what you’re looking for in life. This simple change, will change what you find to be true about your life.
